Lionized, Greasy Jungle, Vapour Trails, Fighter Fighter...it seems as if they're putting in one gem a show, almost as a simple expansion of the standard sets during the summer...if this means anything, it's most likely that they're just trying to work these songs in again, before a full-scale onslaught of rarities for the Canadian winter tour...should be a good one...anybody up for placing bets on the next gem they bust out?
I'd assume Last of The Unplucked Gems, no pun intended...

It was a good set
although it felt short - maybe there never really is a perfect set because you just don't ever want it to end. Small club - happy crowd (except for the dickwads who had the nerve to start a fight during New Orleans is Sinking) and plenty of flags and Canada gear. Texas is the place to see the Hip.

To be fair, most of the crowd was in a fantastic mood - a lot of "Where are you from and how long have you been down here?" kind of stuff. But there was one group of guys who had had too much to drink -(La Zona Rosa is just a local bar) it was over pretty quickly and the security staff handled it well. It's just nice to be able to say "eh" in a crowd and not have people point it out (ooout)!

Drez - - pretty sure I stood next to you at the show
if you were the Buffalo guy who had seen the Hip like 15 or 50 times before and freaked out once Lionized came on. It was my girlfriend and my first show (but I quote lines with the best of them). We were the poor Alabama kids who get no Hip exposure except for ourselves. Anyway, a DOMINANT SHOW and hope to see you at one in the future.
