what a fuh-reezing night! great show...though where i was standing the sound sucked. i think it mighta had a lot to do with the wind as it sounded great one minute and right shitty the next.
i was right chuffed the hip played guided by voices' over the neptune/mesh gear fox (complete with GBV! GBV! GBV! chant) right before walking on stage for this show. i went alone so had no one to hug, high-five or chug a beer with (no, wait a minute, it was 90 minutes to get into a beer tent, nevermind...).
i posted the above on a gbv and robert pollard mailing list and a gal who was organizing a fundraising gig the next night featuring gord (and, like, chantel k. and buck 65 etc) said she was gonna ask gord about gbv.
her response:
>i sang OTNMGF with gord downie tonight. he LOVES bob.
even talked about possibilities of touring at some
point. bob is his "hero". he LOVES it.

I just posted the DVD to the tracker. The other angles I had for this would not transfer so I just did a quick sync of Mark's audio and video and posted it. I might play around with the tapes at a later date...
Enjoy!
