So do the doors open at 5:30, or does the concert start at 5:30?
i.e. what time would Hey Rosetta! take the stage?

I'll venture a guess that the Hip play 50 Mission Cap with the "Jets" substituted for the "Leafs". Gord has done this before in Winnipeg so at the very least he will talk about it.

Few days away, weather is looking good.

Is anyone planning on recording the concert?

Not recording but one of my regular Hip gang just bowed out due to a death in the family so I am bringing my niece to her first Hip concert, she is a fan but she is used to Hillary Duff concerts so it will be fun to watch her see a real show.

Don't recall hearing Locked, someone who wrote the set list down can verify. Little Bones was the closer before the encore. Also View was in the set. Kind of a slow start but the last half of the show absolutely kicked ass..it was smoking...Gord was quite interactive, band was totally into it, crowd was pumped for the classics, especially Fiddlers Green. I am not really a fan of outdoor shows because the sound can drift and get a bit distorted but once dusk set in the sound seemed to hold nicely in the park. Gord said 'who do I have to blow to do an encore', pretty funny.

Hey Rosetta was a descent band but our group felt Social Scene was somewhat of a muddled mix of sound, too many players and not really any melodies to catch the ear.

Best Winnipeg crowd I've ever been a part of.

It seemed like a lame-duck crowd till about Gift Shop. Then each song built the crowd up a little more. And a little more. By the time we got to "Happy birthday Johnny" the crowd was freakin' pumped and all they wanted was more rock. It reached epic proportions of crowd energy during Nautical Disaster, as if it were the greatest rock song ever created.

I was a little worried, it seems some of the shows in the past couple weeks have been a little off, or the venue sucked, or even the band seemed uninspired? Not so at all tonight...Gord's voice was fantastic, and yeah, it was mostly singles, but we got Lonely End of the Rink, the three new tracks...I'm not complaining at all, the crowd made the show, compared to 2009 where most people here sat on their hands like pansies.

Winnipeg came ready to party and rock out tonight. It was GREAT.

I just don't care for BSS. Half of them seemed bored out of their minds, like it was some kind of incredible effort to get up on stage and play a short set. No Julie Penner, which dissapointed me, as she's an ex-pat of these parts. I'm not totally sure who the woman was on stage with them, but being at that show seemed like the last place she wanted to be.

Very nice show all in all. I was quite disappointed due to the seating arrangement, and I am sure that ticketmaster will get an absolute earfull from fans, as no one knew where there seats were, due to the split row numbers.
My highlight was certainly "The Last Spike" rant during the intro to ABAC. Gord had "the most annoying sound in the world go off in his ear piece, and quickly linked the dying battery packs' spike in volume, to the final spike on the railroad driven by Pierre Berton himself stright into Gord's skull.
I hope there is a recording of that out there!

And to follow up on that piece, the Winnipeg Sun reporter noted:

He is the only performer I’ve seen who can use the process of changing a battery pack as the basis for a poetic monologue

Do I dare ask about the VIP section? Was it any better than what's been reported at the previous shows on this tour?
