I'm thinking "Courage" in Poor Old Montreal is going to be special...

Gord's really been getting into it lately, and I bet a day spent in the Old Port will inspire him. Hoping a download will be made available for this show.

The crowd was absolutely ridiculous. If you didnt know better you would have thought it was a sold out show.
Gord calling the mic 'his woman'....classic
Gord making reference to getting 'behind' Ann Margaret....classic
"Suck on anything to start that fire"...

I'm so exhausted from this show it's rewarding.

WHat Time have they been going on at??????

Post by HipMiramichier »

Hey, this for anyone, acttually, all replies would be appreciated! Going to the Hip on Friday in Saint John, the problem is that I can't leave work until 3:30 and I am 3 and a half hour drive from SJ, i am sure i can make the show... Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on what time the hip have been going on at... for example, the doors open at 7:00 and the venue site says that tehs how starts at 8... I have seen Joel Plaskett umpteen times already, and there is no doubt that they are good, but i am willing to miss them this one time in lieu of having a few drinks before the HIP... So i guess what i am asking is, if the show starts at 8... what time can I expect the HIP to be take the stage at??? ANy rough guesses would be appreciated... If worst comes to worst, my gf can drive while i have a few, but thats definetly a worst case scenario, having a womamn drive at night in the winter... sorry girls.

I was at the show last night, while it wasnt the best I attended (I think the one from the phantom power tour was better) it was still very exciting and Gord was on fire!!! :)

the show ended around 10:40 and started (my guess) at around 9:00

Asides from getting absolutely beautiful renditions of Lake Fever and Scared we got to see Gord do that chicken dance move. I always thought Montreal was a bit of an anomaly compared to the love and attention the Hip gets across the rest of Canada, but after last night's show I can proudly attest that Montreal, too is a Hip town.

I don't know what this has to do with this thread... but unless you can get one of us friendly Canucks to help ya out, yes, consider yourself screwed by itunes ridiculous policy.
