Thought I'd christen this thread. The show is less than a day away. I'll take along a pad and paper to jot down the setlist, I know thehip.com has gotten slower in posting them, and I always enjoy seeing what they played, so I'll post that as soon as I get home. Hope to see some of you there!!

Wow! What a great show! I'm kinda wiped out right now, but suffice it to say, this is gonna be a great DVD.

I was able to video tape the show as well, and I'll post some clips tomorrow.

I didn't get to meet very many Hipbaser's, but it was still a great show.

Setlist not in order:

On stage: 8:45
Vaccination Scar
Fully Completely
Grace, too
Silver Jet
Summer's Killing Us
Makeshift As We Are
Ahead by a Century
Poets
Gus
Bobcaygeon
Courage
Nashville
100th Meridian
Nautical Disaster
Music at Work
New Orleans

Heaven is a Better Place Today
It's a Good Life
Little Bones

Giftshop
Springtime in Vienna
3 Pistols

Boots or Hearts
Blow at High Dough

Off Stage:10:40

Gord was ranted throughout everything at the beginning of the show, but as it went on, and he got tired, he wouldn't rant or improv during solos or outros.

It was obvious that the band was trying to put on an extremely energetic show and had given a lot of thought to how to make a good DVD. There weren't that many cameras present. Two crane cameras on the stage, the standard cameras around the venue and a few camera-men carrying giant cameras, but I can't imagine they had more than 8 camera angles at any moment.

Notice that less IBE songs were played than usual (No Josephine; no You're Everywhere).

I thought it was odd that they didn;t play 50 Mission Cap, considering it was the ACC, but I'm sure they had their reasons.

After 20-odd hip shows, and countless memories, I have to say that this one lands right smack dab in the middle. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad, it was just good. Lots of energy, no really memorable moments except when Gorn tripped and fell during Bones or Blow (can't remember). I really don't understand why they decided to include Springtime or Silver Jet in their DVD set. The place just died when those numbers came up. However, I do give props to the boys for their energy. Robbie had some kick-ass solos in their.

All in all, a decent show. A DVD show, I think not.
