Great show

Post by Kyle »

Just got back from the hip show at the fort william gardens. This is the second hip show I've seen this year, and yet another fantastic performance. The sound quality was great. Probably the best show that's ever rolled through the bay area in the past 4 years since I've lived here. Some of the highlight songs were long time running, 100th, good life, little bones, one night in copenhagen.
Great night.

Just talk to a friend of mine who went last night; he isn't a Hip fan and so he doesn't know what they played, but he did allow that they opened with "Vaccination Scar", played two encores, closed with "Nautical Disaster" (although I'll believe it when I see it) and also did (in zero order) "ABAC", "Springtime in Vienna", "100M", "NOIS", "Summer is Killing Us" and "MM@W". Is this the most useless info you've ever seen on this board? I would say, most likely yes. :thumb:

Definitely. I don't believe they closed with ND either.

Do you know how hard it is trusting someone who cannot identify ANY of "Courage", "Bobcaygeon", "Vaccination Scar" (I had to explain the notion of the slide guitar to him), "Wheat Kings", "At the Hundredth Meridian" (again, I had to sing it for him) or "Grace, Too"?

Oh, and they played "Blow at High Dough". Jon's a good kid--he just has bad taste in music sometimes.

Not only did they not close with "Nautical", THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLAY IT. That noise you heard was my faith in Jon going "pop".

Cope = One Night in Copenhagen

I'm happy it's starting to get some play - one of the better songs on the record

Think that's the first show of the tour with no Gus... interesting... and does anyone know if they planned a 3rd encore but just chose not to play it? I hope they do 3 tomorrow night....

was it a sell out show. I've heard some of the dates on the tour have been a shade less than full. i don't even think rem sold out the same venue a few weeks ago.
