And on another note from the show, I was hoping that they'd do Fiddler's Green. Does anyone have an idea of roughly the last time they did that in concert?
Never Have, Never Will.
Yeah, it's not on any of my bootlegs, but I figured it was just a rarity. I had no idea that they've never done it. Is there any particular reason?

EDIT: Not to be an ass or come across as a stalker (LOL), but I don't suppose anyone has an answer to my question regarding meeting the guys? I just feel a little "screwed" after it turned out Rob and Paul were at Red Cliff and I was none the wiser. After all, I was after leaving my 8X10 at the campsite, like I said, so that would've been convenient to say the very least. ;)

Legend has it, that the song was written for Gord Downie's nephew who died at a young age, originally they planned not to release it on Road Apples but the boy's mother asked them to put it on and they did. Gord is believed to have said that the song is for him and no-one else so they wont play it live. Did I miss anything guys? As for meeting the band, what can I tell ya, its all about chance and being in the right place at the right time I guess, your best chance of meeting the band is to see them play in the US at a small venue, preferably away from the border shows like detroit and buffalo. Wait outside at the tour bus and you will probably see them, or you may meet them inside, who knows? This has been talked about alot on the site, and lots of Hipbasers have stories about meeting the band, do a search and you will find lots Im sure, thats all I can tell you, that or win a contest to meet the band.

No problems there, I can always do Wheat Kings no matter how loaded I am at the time. Haha. I'm actually bringing the guitar to Moncton with me, so who knows, I might take it to the show to play while I wait for the gates to open.

Also, thanks for the story and the tips LizardKing. I always assumed that the song was just folk tale based. I never actually did the research to see if it had any personal meaning for Gord. Thanks for the info.

Also, it's always nice to see another Morrison fan. :)
