The DVD is almost complete, folks. Anyone else have some pics they would like to contribute for the slideshow? I have kleh's from his Flikr site. Anyone else like to toss their hat in the ring (or camera)?

My friend, Gregor, is going to be sending some pics off to you. I'm just going to give him your email (because he's not on the base). That sound good?

I regret that I didn't take any of my own pictures but trying to from the 2nd row in the middle of the Hillbilly mob was impossible and not worth the risk of losing or breaking the camera.

Rory, the DVD is excellent!! The sound came out really well!

Always great to relive a show. I enjoyed watching 100th Meridian again with Gord tipping and keeping the mic stand up with his feet then towel snapping it with his bandana while Johnny Faye timed the cymbal crashes with it. Rink was wicked, Gord was so into it (and even moreso for me because I'm a goaltender). Fire In The Hole was another great energetic treat from the boys.

Sorry for the teasers but everyone will want to grab this when it's out, the sound is excellent for a live bootleg and the Sam Robert's set was a nice addition...and of course...the Man in Black..er..a Hipbase t-shirt himself...Jamie Cash!

Glad you enjoy it, Darren... thanks for the kind words... As I said to Darren when he picked it up, the DVD is NOT the quality of the Sydney 2004 DVD that we shot, but we were standing in a different place. It can't be first row............ every night! By far, the highlight of the DVD is Jamie (thehip11) singing Folsom Prison Blues in the car on the way there... I know Johnny and June were looking down andshaking their heads in disbelief

Here's the "sperm whale rant" before Sherpa. The story leading up this is a sperm whale got caught in shallow waters just offshore of PEI about a week before the show. Very large whale and it died after a lot of effort by the locals and DNR to get the whale unbeached.

Link: http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/s ... TopStories

"So you buried a whale yeah?...50 footer? Sperm whale have a name? That's right, ya don't want to name 'em.... You don't want to get too attached to them..... Besides, what the hell did it want? Probably wanted something.....that's why it washed up...They always want something, those fuckin' whales.....Don't trust 'em...Don't trust 'em....Listen to the Japanese....Pretty soon there'll be more whale than water....Kill 'em all.....before they kill you."

Ahhhh, why oh why did they have to put a stop to everything so soon before the Ch'town show?!

Oh well, I can't wait until everything is available from it, will be nice to relive it, It just would have been nice to do it alot sooner than 1/4 of a year or so after the concert happened :(

Yeaaa, nice find, the filmer must have been a few feet infront of me.
And although this isn't from the DVD, it only makes me that much more excited about the DVD, its going to be sweet :thumb:
