When I saw Barclay in Ottawa talk about The Never-Ending Present, he told a story that I don't believe is in the book (although it may be, I haven't completed it yet).
It was told to him by Bryan Webb of the Constantines. Bryan was talking about how this show in Atlantic City was an 'off' night for The Hip, simply because of the crowd size and the venue. Bryan told Barclay that the crowd was a fraction of the energy they were used to so far on the tour. At the end of the set, Gordie lies on his back on stage and started screaming into the mic 'DO YOU AIR CONDITION EVERY THING IN HERE?', alluding to the cold nature of the crowd energy and the venue.
Made me chuckle.
