Alright spryguy...I'm jumping in head first!!!
First off, this show is pretty big news in the 'Borough...Tickets sold out quickly and there are tons of "brokers" in the local papers..This is only the 2nd time the boys have ever played Peterborough (the 1st being the secret club/theatre charity shows in '98 and I couldn't get in) but its the 1st time at the Memorial Centre. We don't get many "rock" shows at the home of the Petes (the last being Nickelback in 2004) so when a show of this magnitute comes to town, its a real BIG deal...
I for one, e-mailed the band back in '92 to come here and play the Mem Centre. Unfortunatley it took 15 years for the dream to become a reality. The group I'm heading to the show with, have all taken a days holiday on Tuesday. Needless to say, this will be the most fun any of us has ever had on a Monday night!!
I live 5 minutes from the Mem Centre/Holiday Inn and I plan on snooping around later tonight to see if they have started to set up and if there is any sign of the boys.

holy crap....... what a show... just got back...
the cover was a Joni Miiitchell song.. can't think of the title.. something along the lines of "covered the field with lights"???? I'll feel stuppid and sober enough to think of the title! They closed the concert with family band & little bones. HOLY CRAP! 6th time I've seen the Hip & the best yet!

what to say..but what a show!..and shout out to THE HIP for coming to Peterborough !
I'll just add this for now...
Gord and Band crushed BIG Yellow Taxi.... a rather fitting cover and a treat for the Peterborough fans considering Joni Mitchell was just recently inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame !
Musical spectrum lauds Joni Mitchel
