Making the drive from the Buffalo, NY area. I wrote the club and they said "We recommend the alley kat or brickyard if you want
to get to town early and eat dinner/hang out. These places are only 2 blocks from the club and the parking garage."
In fact say hello...

Solid show, but no real surprises. Set list, not in order, and possibly missing a song or 2......

Grace
Family Band
Good Life

ABAC
Twist
WC
Wheat
Meridian
Luv
BobC
Vienna
Rink
Blow

Stones cover - The Last Time
Verge
Gord was his usual animated dancing self. Billy Ray kept having to come out and wipe the sweat off the floor between songs, like at a basketball game. No mic stands were sacrificed but a few of Gord's sweat rags got thrown into the crowd. At the end of the show Johnny decided to throw his sticks up to people in the balcony overlooking the stage. It turned out to be quite the challenge, much to Paul and Rob's amusement.
I got home at 130am. I seriously need more coffee.......

Every time I see them I feel lucky & this one was no different. All smiles for me & the crowd was cool & pumped. Enjoyed the Stones cover, nice twist in this tour. They could definitely entertain me all night doing covers if they felt like it - not that I'm suggesting just sayin. Thanks for stopping in central Pa boys!

Got home late Monday night from Lancaster. All I can say is WOW!!!
Tiny club (made the HOB in Cleveland seem large), tiny stage. Great acoustics. The front row was so close we were sweat on. I hope all those seeing the hip the last few months in these type of settings really appreciate what they are witnessing.
Great show but like said above no real surprises. Encore was very strong. The place was rocking.
We are 2 for 2 in take homes. At Cleveland we brought home the microphone and in Lancaster Norine caught one of the handkerchiefs.

Truly amazing watching the Hip perform in such a small venue.

First time seeing them or hearing anything about them. I thought they were okay and kinda interesting. I def did not dislike them but was also glad they did their thing with a short set & then made way for who we came to see. That's just how it is to open for icons.headstoner wrote:anyone see the constantines open? anything to say, setlist?
At times the sound reminded me of Sabbath or more so The Cult. I was surprised at how heavy it was, just cuz they sounded harder than they looked - to me, whatever that means. One of my buddies also independently mentioned thinking of The Cult. The crowd politely received them & I didnt hear a single Hip chant until they quit so I was glad for them for that. But I fear if they had stayed any longer it could've happened. I wish them well...
