>>-Gord Tripping on the mic stand and almost falling off the (he caught himself on a monitor). Gord S. gave him a hand to get back on his feet. Gord D. jumped right back up and continued dancing.
Footage coming....although I think he went down twice.
-Gord. Staying on Stage after everyone else in teh band left and yelled mostly in-audible stuff in teh mic. I picked up "Music lovers - thank you, ______ - f**k you"
Actually, no, he didn't say exactly that. I think he refered to "the crew", not "F you". Footage coming...

f**k f**k f**k..what a setlist..! misssed my namesake as a closer too!mcwslc wrote:Thank you! Locked was the perfect ending to a great road trip.bobnfran wrote: Could they maybe play them....Wheatkings and Locked. Gord said he didn't know about Wheatkings but thought they could work in Locked.
I wonder why Wheat Kings was iffy; they’ve played it 15+ times on the tour? I appreciate Wheat Kings, but if they’re going to play a mellow track I would rather hear Flamenco, Are We Family, or Thompson Girl. With that said, this version of Wheat Kings was sick, the slide guitar and the lighting was perfect!
I went to Chris Cornell at Avalon on Thursday and then the Hip again at Avalon the very next night so I was cashed out and missed this show..
Can anyone PM me and let me kniow about boots for either Boston or NH..?
Thanks in advance

I'm sorry I missed it!!!!!! just can't do it all. I hope the next time they play in Boston, though, that they play someplace that doesn't have people lined up outside to get into the dance club while we are being swept out the door....literally!!!! I was in Boston doing this all night...up front & center! Have you been to the Orpheum? In NH the Venue was perfect (imo), historical, hospitable, Nautical, and the sound was great; the fans=sublime...we made many friends.

btw
I have to say, The Hip is the only band I have wanted to see multiple times since The Grateful Dead. We were living in Canada when Jerry died and they had just confirmed the Toronto show...we were going to bring our daughters. It would have been their first shows {out of utero} LOL!
We drag them to see Dylan, Tom Petty, Wilie Nelson, local blues & jazz fests and Further Fest.....such torture! Actually I've seen Dylan and Tom Petty at least 8-9 times each...
