Well I just got home from the show and it was what I would probably call an average Hip show. More on that later...(I'm exhausted). As its already been mentioned - Emporer Penguin was played during the encore which was F*in awesome, and so was Edmund Fitzgerald which sounded very very good. Also played was "Burn On"- a song by *I think* Randy Newman. Feel free to correct me on that. It's a song about the Cuyahoga River and was probably made most famous by the movie "Major League" in which it is played during the credits at the beginning. Definitely the highlight for me. Also, Drop Off was great - that is quickly becoming my favorite song to hear live. I didn't write down the setlist, but they opened with In View and I think NOIS was second. World Container sounded really bad to me, and so did Chagrin Falls. I think Gord missed a verse to Chagrin or something...not sure what the deal with those were - perhaps someone else could elaborate better. Also played was: Rink, Gems, Blow, ABAC, Fly, and I'm sure there were others but I'm too tired to go on. Good show, but not the best I've ever seen. Lots of wet snow in Cleveland afterwards!

They soundchecked it in Calgary during the club tour last fall. I was SO pissed that it didn't get played that night (nor the next, nor...). Hopefully next time!sullivand wrote:Nice understatement.sean.bonner wrote:i think penguin emerging is a bit cooler
Is this for real? First time since ______? How great would it be if they pulled this out a few more times on the tour. Looking forward to hearing it on hipfans in the a.m.

The 1st cover was Gord singing it over the music for Hiccups before they played Daredevil
This was an above average show (but not amazing) with lots of nice surprises as mentioned in earlier posts, I didn't notice Gord missing anything in Chagrin or anything wrong with WC but it could just be me
The encore kicked ass!
