The Pumpkins? Man...thats...unreal...just...unreal.
I always thought Smashing Pumpkins were a band that didn't quite "fit" with most of the stuff I like, and it's just so...EXCITING to hear of this...man...
ANd on top of that, I'm makin' the trip to SF...for my first 'Hip show outside of Winnipeg...just makes me all the more excited

1st place in the Conference on the line or seeing The Hip up close, hmmm...
i'm still trying to figure out what the best deal of the night was:
a) 12 packs of beer for $8 (god bless america)
b) two for one pints at TGIFs after the show
c) world container cd autographed by the whole band ... $15 each!

Not if it's American Beer....then it would be the equivalent of buying 12 packs of horse piss!

That was witty and insightful
I prefer Canadien beer too; but that comment is just ridiculous.
Was lucky to attend both nights. 1979 was fantastic especially because it was so unexpected. Had more fun (personally) Fri but the show was better Sat. Gord with the bra...wow
ron wrote:wasn't bad shit were you at the same show i was band was in rare form tonight gord tying the bra around his eyes then flicking the mic into the crowd, Robbie jamming all the way next to Paul and making him laugh,
1979 by the pumpkins was great this show was much tighter than the Rochester show i attended thursday night
Ron
I read Robbie's lips and he said "My thumb is frozen"

The comment about American beer being horse piss.....
or the miss spelling of Canadian??
1979 was awesome. After seeing them at the Phoenix in TO and Town Ballroom in Buffalo, I think I perfer seeing them in bigger venues, when you're up front. 18,000 people seems to have more energy then 1000.

What about the misspelling of the word misspelling?
The cheapest and most consumed beer in Buffalo is Labatt.
