1979 by the pumpkins was great this show was much tighter than the Rochester show i attended thursday night

1979?? That must have been kick-ass...I love that song. The sooner that becomes available somewhere, the better!

Day for Night

Post by buffalorob »

Wow.
Wow again.
The contrast/difference between Friday/Saturday is stunning.
Two of the squirliest lines you've ever seen on a graph, intersecting once...song 3 (Drop Off).
Two of the most diverse and stunning sets I've ever seen 'em do.
Friday was just the tad better, probably for the quantity, for what it's worth.
I wish there was a 3rd night, maybe even a fourth, even though I'm whooped.

Any Pumpkin fans out there?
I would love to hear a comparison of the Hip's & the Pumpkins' live versions.
Can't help to think the Hip's was better.

Watching the Hip play it sounded good but not amazing, listening back to it and it sounds way better than I thought it did at the time, compared to Pumpkins live version, I'd have to pull out some old tapes I got in trades many moons ago, but I'm not at home so that'll be a while before I can do that

Something to look forward too, especially since Atlanta's not on the agenda.
