Re: download Qs and show review
There should be a section for long hair hippie freaks to dance at concerts. Oh yeah, there is, it's called the floor. I totally agree you about the personal space thing but I can't help wondering why it's always some thick neck dude in a baseball cap who ends up punching the hippie at shows. It seems like violence at shows has become a bit of an issue. Perhaps that is why they instituted a cut off for beer on the Canadian leg of the tour. It's true that some folks just need a good beating but I hope the Hip's security steps in before anymore hippies get hurt.
I was a people back from that guy and from where I was standing it looked like he was trying to get a reaction from the people around him. There's a difference between dancing and having a good time and just making a spectacle of yourself. Just my two cents

Sorry to shoot off like that. I imagine the dude was a total ass who deserves what he got. I admit to being selfishly concerned about beer sales. I know the band has mentioned the fights in the press and from the stage. I don't want to see beer sales suspended because I really enjoy a cold beer or three myself at shows.

for the show. Thanks for the review and setlist.
Also, how do I set up the concert tracker? I'm not sure what I'm doing there.

Hip at Harro East
So the Tragically Hip's US tour is now officially under way. Last night, the band tore it up inside the Harro East Ballroom in Rochester, before a rowdy crowd that seemed to fill about 3/4 of the place. No surprise cover tune, but man, what a set, from the opening guitar-figure clarion call of "Lonely End Of the Rink" through a sweaty, boisterous "Blow At High Dough."
The new material from "World container" sounds fantastic - full-bodied, a bit more aggressive, tougher - in concert. Great versions of "Wheat Kings" and "Pigeon Camera." Gord Downie was in rare form - his hypnoticperformance-art matched the surreal poetry of the lyrics, as ever.
Anyone make the trek to Rochester last night? Thoughts? Favorite tunes?
