Is Marymoor Park the same location that The Hip played with the WOMAD Festival? That was a big place. If it is the same venue this will be their biggest show around here outside of festival appearances.

On July 31, 1998, The Hip played the mainstage of WOMAD at Marymoor Park.

Hello:

I was at the WOMAD show.
Marymoore Park is a great locale for music. Not too big and they have a beer and wine garden.
I just purchased my tickets today. Can't believe they be back here so soon! The Moore show was great. I do hope they don't repeat the same set-list from the Moore.

Cheers,

Rob

Hey rsorbo, were you one of the other dozen fans at the Q+A with the Hip? I went from that to the discussion on Woody Guthry with Billy Bragg, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) under a giant old tree. That was a music geeks day in paradise. This next show should prove to be epic. The Hip always rip it up in Seattle.

P.S.
Don't worry about a repeat set list, lighting never strikes twice nor do The Tragically Hip.

Question for the locals: How far is Marymoor Park from downtown Seattle?

Turn left into the park.

From Seattle:

Take SR-520 east from I-5 across the Evergreen Point floating bridge.
At I-405, follow directions above.
or:

Gonna be an awesome show! Great weather, great location! Cannot wait!! For those of you out-of-towners, allow a little extra time for traffic...sometimes, travelling across the HWY 520 bridge can take a while from Seattle. Just a heads up. Travel safely and enjoy!!!
