Actually it's funny you say that because his pants were the FIRST thing I noticed when the band came out. I looked at my friend and went Ooooh  and that was about it!!! Nothing else needed to be said but he actually carried the look off well.

Forgot to mention earlier that Gord sang 'Little Bones' as if he was looking for his lost cat. Then he got a stuffed animal from the crowd and stroked it lovingly before stuffing it up his shirt at the end of the song with it's head poking out between the buttons. It was PRICELESS!!!!!

Ah gotta love those boys..................

They went on about 8:30 and played 'til 10pm.

Thanks for that ^ VioletLite! Over by 10:00, wow, probably do the same at Stampede so people can still hit the beer gardens and rides after the show. Mmmmm Beer Gardens.

Mellow though and not nearly as many people as I thought. I mean I've never got to kick back on a lawn chair drinking a beer 20-feet from the stage at a Hip show!
The WOMAD show at the same venue was more packed and standing room only as I remember.
I got there about 3:30 and was like the sixth person in line. Got to hear the sound check which was cool--Ocean, Membership and Lake Fever.
Oh...and I'm a Sadies convert now. They were also great and I plunked down $20 for the double-live CD.
I can't believe two Hip shows coming through the Seattle area in less than four months!

Here is the iPod video version if you want some quality boost.

Big thanks to BigA for the audio source and the ride to and fro Seattle. It was worth the border search and then having the last SkyTrain downtown shut down for the night at New West station. Word of advice from my experience in that part of town at 1:30 a.m... If you've happen to have a fancy camera with you while waiting for the bus, don't advertise it to the locals. Trust me on this, it's not a pretty scene.

Isn't there some 2-week rule on this question? Though you do have it delicately phrased ;)

just looking at the rest of the footage now, but it's got promise. However, the Polyphonic Spree are at the Commodore tonight, and I need to drink some Kool-Aid (Spree fans will know what I mean), so the DVD will have to wait.

Amazing show as usual! Hearing Membership and Dire Wolf in the same show-- talk about multiple EARgasms! Nautical, Fully, Fire, and Grace were excellent as well. And hearing them play Bobcaygeon and Lake Fever in that setting was absolutely perfect.

Also, The Kids Don't Get It is now one of my favorite live Hip songs of all time. That tune kicked my ass like no other.

Great show. This is the first time I have seen them this far from home (west coast) and it was different. I saw several East Coast shows this year in Buffalo and Erie and it seems Gord related to the rest of the band, thanked the crowd and venue and was in a happier mood than the other shows. I was surprised to be able to move freely to the front. Lots of fun fans having a great time! Thanks Seattle!!!! Is it supposed to be so HOT here???

HAHAHA In a word NO!!! It is not supposed to be this hot here!!! Just to let you know, take a look at this following chart of average temp for July 11 and then look at the record temp. You guessed it, it was on concert day!!!! Like Gord needs more heat to sweat, honestly.....
