100th was off the hook.
Robbie was just ripping it. I know he was tossing in a couple teases but I couldn't make them out.
Seeing Grace in the encore was great.
We took my friends girlfriend who is originally from Boston, now working at Vanoc, to the show. She had never really heard the Hip just a couple songs here and there. She said that she had a great time but thought "The Lead Singer is on Crack". Gord was full tilt. Really animated much more than last week at The Kee. He was all over the place. Kept on putting his arm around Paul from behind, singing into Sinclairs mic with him. Fake smoking, fun time with the mic stand as per usual. Unfortunately he didn't do his Chopper driving thing with it, that's my new favorite Gordie/mic dance now.
Can't wait til next tour!

Grace was my favourite part of the whole show. I would've liked it if the set was a little longer, but I can't really complain as I was in the front row. Also, I like The Sadies and all, it was just a bit strange that it was the same bill as I went to see in Victoria last January. I was hoping it would be Wintersleep or something.
That being said, holy crap did they have their shit together last night. They were going full tilt the whole night. Even LTR had the place moving.

When you first see the stage setup you think wow that's a terrible background. Sortof a sunset ocean scene, and it looks like its just a painted backdrop. The backdrop changes as the show goes on and when the lights hits it, it does look really cool. The encore backdrop was a starry night scene type thing. All sorts of other images but very subtle changes so you don't eve really notice
No video or 50ft Gord, but not the world container logo like in Bala

and here's the iPod video version for download...

NOTE: I might need to update this file as the playback of the MiniDV tape has a number of skips/breaks happening for some reason. Maybe it was a crappy batch of Fuji tapes, since I used a different brand (BigA Brand) of tapes in Seattle with no issues.

No, they haven't and I'm not sure quite how how I feel about that. On the one hand, it (usually) means one more Hip original. On the other hand, I always like seeing what they bust out.trevor wrote:They haven't been doing them for this round of shows.mark wrote:notice there was no cover song? i hope they keep doing them on the fall tour.
