Hipbase Bootleg Club - The Future ?

So I wanted to see what others thought about our little club. I have discovered some great gems thanks to the participants, but I can't help but feel that we've tapered off a (I mean, just look at the replies and view count to recent editions).

I don't want to let this go completely, because I certainly want to keep listening and accumulating Hip Boot knowledge.

So I'll ask yas, where do you see us going from here (if anywhere?)

Should I just be posting reviews for shows I've checked out, along with download links? Do others still want to make selections?

Any input would be great! Thanks Basers !

what about an "on this day in hip history" type of thing? or we pick a month and review all of the shows in Hip history that took place in that month.

I'm open to anything that would put these recordings in front of additional ears, and expose me to ones I've yet to hear (or have forgotten about).

I'm a pretty easy sell on these - so any comments that mention things about early versions of songs, lesser heard rant, amazing quality etc will get me to listen. Ultimately what I'd be looking for is discovering things I haven't heard or shows that should be classics.

Any suggestions on the easiest way to listen to these shows on an iPhone - without manually importing them?

I pretty much echo kieffer's thoughts.

Someone needs to get The Hip onto Archive.org. Now is the time before folks really start losing their files, deleting them, etc. Sean - make it happen with MAv.

That would be a ton of work to do daily. I've had a tough enough time convincing people to listen to 1 show a month.... let all alone all shows in any given month.

Would be fantastic if they finally said yes. I'll put out the feelers again seeing as times have changed.

For now though, all I can really see is starting a little series of reviews for each show we listen to. Maybe start a Master list of "Hipbase ratings" (Sound quality rating, overall show rating) or something along those lines.
