I'm there, Orchestral section, row M, seat 20, by myself. If anyone wants to hang out, before or after, give me a shout.

Night 2 in the books

Love is a first
New Orleans is sinking
The drop off
It's a good life, if you don't weaken
Looking for a place to happen
The last recluse
Locked in the trunk of a car
Gus: the polar bear from central park
Family band
At the 100th meridian
Depression suite
---
Courage (a)
Morning moon (a)
Wheat kings (a)
Lonely end of the rink
Ahead by a century
Gift shop
The Dark canuck
Long time running
Queen of the furrows
Three pistols
Fully completely
Blow at high dough
--
Tiger the lion
Little bones

Monumental show tonight. Miles better than last night, and maybe the best show I've ever seen them do. More focused, for some reason. Only quibble: not a single song from Day for night or Phantom Power. Weird. Hopefully both come back in spades tomorrow night. (Except for fireworks, of course.)

At the start... "Sunday night... you're rocking like it's Tuesday night!" then something about relaxing because the sitter is at home watching the kids, no need to worry. Kind of a funny observation about the age of the crowd I guess (to be expected with the decades the Hip have under their belts)

But crowd seemed more into it than on Saturday (not that Saturday was THAT bad)

Acoustic Courage worked better than I thought it would

SRK, you beat me to the punch (must be cause I live out in Kanata) You took the words right out of my mouth, this was probably the best show i've ever seen. I've been to 18 shows and this was probably the most energy I've seen from both the crowd and the band, much better than last nights show. So many great songs tonight, Dark Canuck, 3 Pistols, Tiger the Lion, Looking for a place to happen, Queen of the Furrows, Long Time Running, Family Band....hell the whole show was amazing. Any of you here sitting in Row DD jumping up and down to every song? Good on ya for getting the crowd going.

agreed... I was pretty close to the DD crowd and they should've been moved to the front!

It was amazing... Gord is such a performer, totally interactive and the band was absolutely not just 'going through the motions'

Another great show; I've been dying to hear Dark Canuck and went nuts when Gord started talking about the drive-in theatre! It was a really different vibe than Saturday night - I wouldn't say better or worse just different. Two fantastic shows in a row and Monday should be special too. I also thought it a bit weird that there were no DFN tunes, but there were some really great selctions. I really liked hearing Looking for a Place to Happen (another first for me) and the encore was great. They really need to play Tiger the Lion more.

Doing the history, was around show number 20 for me (and my wife). Second row, just over from the guys in the Hip jerseys who did an awesome job of getting the crowd to their feet before the show started. Somehow the band get better and better -- great set list last night, I could not have asked for better with a good mix of the classics and some gems (The Dark Canuck being one I've only seen live once before). The theatre setting really suits the bands, and it seems to allow Gord the chance to introduce some songs better than he has in the past.

I could ramble on, but another great night of music -- for all going tonight, enjoy a great night of music.

Agreed 100%! Kinda wish I went Sunday as opposed to Saturday and now cringing that I'm not going tonight and wondering what they might pull out. You're all lucky to have witnessed that last night.

What an amazing show! I've seen them 25 times now and this was definitely top 3! Wha!

Does anyone have pics?

I laughed when Gordie was going through the crowd during Blow and touched a female audience member in an awkward way and said, "Now, we really do have to get engaged!"

What an amazing show, the entire band was in great form from beginning to end!! They really seemed to be enjoying themselves on this tour.

I was front row with my daughter, Gord definitely made it a memorable event for her, receiving his guitar pick from "Family Band", Rob's from "Little Bones", and of course a handkerchief. He also came down and rested his head on her shoulder for a picture just before coming into the crowd during "Blow".

As I had expected, Love Is a First is a killer opener! Also nice to finally hear The Dark Canuck and Tiger The Lion performed live. Looking for a Place To Happen was a great surprise as well. Also nice to finally hear Gord's guitar a little more up in the mix this time.

The only downfall was how quiet the entire front row was, I think my daughter and I were the only ones up beside the stage. The security guard even came up and motioned for everyone to move forward halfway through the first set. The 4th row was right into it singing along with every song, would have been great to have you guys up front too!

Took a ton of pictures, some turned out pretty good, but they are too large to post here. I'll see if I can get a few on.
