Wow...I was 10 rows from the stage! This was such an awesome show, you could see every little look Gord had.

The sound was really good, the crowd was really good and Gord kept giving the drunk guy in the front a hard time.

Holy crap-amazing show!
The whole band was on FIRE! Gord was on his game, tons of crowd interaction and an amazing venue

After we hit Wild bills and saw a band called Mobadass-wicked guys-the dude from Wide Mouth Mason in his new reggae band-super fun! Can't wait till Wed at the Jube-3rd row centre should get me a sweaty hanky for sure!h

Imagine seeing the Hip in a university lecture theatre, and you've pretty much got yesterday's experience. Killer show; it was my first of the tour (#2-4 coming up in the next few weeks) and I'd been in setlist blackout mode for a while, so I have no idea what sort of setlist this was...although I suspect it was a bit hits-heavy by any standard (which was fine since I was with a Hip virgin). We were four rows from the front, left hand side of the stage; you could literally see every single twitch of Gord's face, and the number of times he lept into the crowd surprised the hell out of me. Ears is RINGIN'. Looking forward to Calgary #1 and #2!

Sorry I missed you out there, we were in a bit of a rush when we finally got out there to meet up with our friends for dinner and ended up forgetting my phone in the hotel room. We actually stayed in the same hotel and went to wild bills afterwards as well for a bit then over to that burger bar across the street.

Show was fantastic and it was such a great venue to see them in. Felt like we could reach out and touch the stage from the 6th row.

Can't wait til Wed. now either.

I knew it was gonna be a great weekend when the missus and I checked into the Banff Springs just after noon on Saturday and ran into Gord Sinclair in the elevator. She couldn't figure out why I kept poking her in the elevator until he left... then she said, "Was that who I thought it was?" LOL! To top the weekend off, we ran into him again Sunday morning at brunch.

Banff show was a real treat. Not sure what the capacity of the Eric Harvie is, but it can't be more than a thousand. We were in row V (just a few from the back) but there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Good audio, good energy; good time. Gord went climbing through the crowd during The Last Recluse, and from our vantage point it looked like he was paddling through a sea of fans... quite cool.
