My (realistic) wishlist for tonight: Pistols, Grace, Nashville, Locked, Furrows, Escape, Inch, Blow, Fully. I'll be elated if they play 3 of those.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

A few notes from tonight:
- Escape AND Emperor Penguin!
- I certainly wouldn't have thought So Hard Done By would've been the only song from DFN
- longest version of Meridian that I've seen in 10 years
- Gord made several trips into the crowd, mostly the first row. During one song, he took a bunch of cameras and purses from people in the first row, made a pile of the stuff on stage, and went through everything, testing out cameras, etc.
- before Frozen in My Tracks, Gord said something about everyone passing $5 bills up to the front and then joking that actually all he wanted from the crowd was to sing... still, some people passed up $5 bills and several ended up on stage. Gord gave them to the people in the front row.
- could've done without Fireworks and Struggle
- maybe the best version of Gift Shop I've seen. Started out more snarly, kind of like IOD, then sped up a bit as it went on.
- WIth Jim on keyboards, In View reminds me of an 80's video game
- Three Pistols kicked serious ass.
- Blow at High Dough: very extended version... awesome...Gord tripped on the monitor and stumbled into Gord S and his mic stand. Also, Robby Baker is a god.
- I got Johnny's 2nd set setlist.

Can't wait for Thursday!

Is that the first appearance of So Hard Done By this entire tour?
It's about time.
What a great, great tune.

My god am I glad I bought tickets for every night here in Edmonton. I thought we got spoiled on Night #1, but last night blew me away yet again!

So Hard Done By was soooo heavy and gritty....better than I have ever heard it! Gord was not in the crowd as much last night as he was on Sunday. I think Sunday he was driven by neccessity more than anything....the Sunday crowd was so lame in comparison to last night, that he had to get down there just to get people interested. However, his performance was stellar. I spent a lot of time watching Rob last night....he was producing face melting solos, and his slide work on Wheatkings was amazing. What else can you say about the set list......the pic in the previous post does sum it up entirely.

I am glad today is an off day, I danced my ass off for the last 2 nights and my neck and shoulders are a tad bit sore...in a good way though! :D

How did acoustic The Last Recluse sound?

Last Recluse sounded great. I did feel like all 3 acoustic tunes were a bit rushed. Certainly no extended instrumental parts.
