Is it raining?
want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

Just got home from the show. SO happy it didnt rain, it was not looking good all week, but just as usual the skies opened up and it was gorgeous all night!!

Gord was great tonight. I havent read any reviews of other shows this year so I'm not sure how new any of this is but he was down on the ground with the crowd three or four times, once with his guitar. And during Blow he was letting the crowd sing one a time, giving the mic back and forth to the people in the front row.

All in all a great show, except for the one doosh in front of us who kept leaning back airguitaring into my girlfriends face, otherwise it was awesome!!

havent seen the hip for a few since the IBE tour...sounded great, gord was very animated...lots of the gorilla routine, playing hacky sack with his handkerchief...at one point he was sitting on the mic stand so the stand was against his back and doing a kind of weird russian dance routine in a big circle with the handkerchief over his face...decent crowd for an outdoor GA show...the biggest thing i noticed after not seeing them for a while was johnny's drumming...not that he wasn't a good drummer before but he has really improved into a new level of playing, i was very impressed...there was a guy playing keys for the show and singing back ups, and during the acoustic part they had a djembe kind of kit set up...great show overall

All in all a great show, I just wish the setlist wasnt as mainstream as it was, after seeing all of the rarities that came out during the evening with portion of this tour I hoping to hear some tunes that i hadnt heard live before. Still a fantastic show and i cant wait until my next Hip show itll be the big number 10 for me!

awesome set list....

band was great....

crowd... hmmmm how to be nice and not offend anyone...

i found the crowd to be full of a bunch of ignorant douchebags.... i have never saw so many fist fights at a hip show in my 26 show career... LOL. And the guys who punched the older gentleman in the face and cause him to bleed everywhere, i hope you rot in a very dark place... that wasnt cool at all... and the other guy dressed as a gangsta trying to pick a fight wiht everyone... you too... rot in hell.

Once we got moved around a better " hip " crowd.. the show was great... lots of people bouncing near the front, and it was almost like going back to the ARA days for me.

Overall... great show...

Great show!

Good to meet other Hipbaser Steve and cousin Mark. Thanks for the ticket hookup.

Highlights for me included Grace, Family Band and Blow at High Dow. TLR was good and ABAC too.

Gord was rather animated tonight with 'faceless man' sitting on the stage and coming to life. And interacting with the VIP crowd a bunch. Enjoyed hearing 100th Meridian last verses sang really quickly. Kinda like he used to do years ago. The sing along with the crowd was neat too. It was cool hearing the crowd sing a tune one way while Gord sang it another way and arriving at the same place in the end.

Can't believe it didn't rain. Left Stratford pouring cats and dogs.

They seemed someting on tonight rockin the park. Looking forward to the Bay ...

Geez, seriously considered making the trek to London for the show and after seeing that set list, dang it, i should have...."Wheat Kings" and "Scared" acoustically? Absolutely sweet!!! And opening with "NOIS", how could the crowd not help but get into that!? A little disappointed that their Fall Tour didn't announce any dates in this area, but keeping fingers crossed that more will be added :nooooo

This was my 4th show of this tour (only outdoor one) and it made for a different experience, The band performed amazingly, defenetly a little more energy for the outdoor gig, 100th jam was epicly long just like WC tour and so was Blow,

on the DOWN side the venue was absolute Crap, worst set up ever, If you happened to shell out the extra $40 for the show then I'm sure you enjoyed it and had no problems, however over on the other side it was among the roudiest most ignorant crowd I've seen at a hip show. it didn't help that everyone was funnelled to the left of the stage. there was a long empty space running from the middle of the stage backa bout 100 yards that divided the VIP and GA, after about 50 yards back on the GA side was another empty divider for a beer area. I'm sure that most of the crowd had to watch from 2-300 yards back behind the VIP wich was a vast area of tables and chairs...enough of that if you were there I'm sure you could see how bad it was and a nightmare to get out
