If they are going to go 11/12 then I'm hoping they go 11/12/3/2 or something similar.gratts99 wrote:looks like the 11/12/2 is the normal setlist for tour. Booo urns

I think that the real interesting set list to see will be tomorrow to see how they mix up the same town shows. Really, they could play a similar list to the other night in Toronto, assuming it's a largely different crowd.

That's good news, hopefully it was the slowed down, groovy darker version like it sounds on the album, and like they used to play it in the mid 90's. I like that version waaaaay better than the way they've been playing it on recent tours, all sped up and with Gord yelling most of it. The slow intensity of it to me is the whole charm of the song, and the reason I've always preferred the album version to the live version.Gusthepolarbear12 (in another thread) wrote:100th meridian was normal no jam session or sped up. Acoustic predictions:
Fire in the Hole
An Inch an Hour
Locked in the Trunk of a Car
**All jokes aside, I would love "Locked" acoustic.

Dammit...
When they advertised the 2-set, evening shows with no opener, I thought it would be the 30 song sets like in 2000.
That's pretty much why I bought tickets to so many shows. I mean 25 isn't that big of a drop off, but it's a lot closer to a normal tour show than one of the special shows we thought it would be.

i agree, plus the split set really hurts the energy of the performance. the sit down think was cool on the big screen, in concert not so muchl. Either way if they do a "Stadium" tour after or near xmas im hoping for the standard set.BDS28 wrote:Dammit...

I think we need to wait until the end of the week to get a good read on what to expect.... and one thing to remember....Depression Suite is over 9 minutes long....basically the length of 2-3 normal songs...

And playing that along with Escape in the first set makes for a longer set than it really seems on paper.spottrax wrote:I think we need to wait until the end of the week to get a good read on what to expect.... and one thing to remember....Depression Suite is over 9 minutes long....basically the length of 2-3 normal songs...

Good point. Not that I had a problem with the number of songs they were playing.

I'm not concerned about the similarities of tonight to Friday. If you remember, the Brockville warmup show to the Kingston (K-Rock) was nearly identical. We need 3-4 shows worth of material to make the tour a write off or not.
When "Blow, NOIS, Bones, Nautical" make their regular appearances, I know the tour will be set in its ways.
