Must have been one helluva party... or they're still playing. 14 hour set!

Thus the setlist so far would be:
1. Grace, Too (Encore)
End set

Great show. Same setlist as london (If I remember correctly) except for no Love is a first. The videos say it all.

Can anyone confirm the setlist - other than same as London without LIAF i.e. 18 songs plus Grace Too as only encore

Reviews, thoughts, scattered vignettes, set list ... anything??? Was anyone from the UNION there? Guess we've grown a little spoiled after some of the fine reporting over the last couple of months.

Thanks out to Dana for the vids. :thumb:

Great show, but other than WATS, I didn't get to hear anything that I hadn't heard them play before. On the brightside, Gord(D) seemed really energetic, and had the crowd hooked from the opening riff of NOIS (which was the best NOIS I've heard them do since 99, if not, ever), all the way til the end of Grace Too. They did a small acousitc portion of the show, which I belive was Coffee Girl, Wheat Kings, and Scared. Depression Suite was epic, Morning Moon was beautiful (and the moon was all funky and orange while they were playing it), and Recluse was every bit as good as I expected it to be as well. As stated, there was no Love Is A First, unfortunately, and I didn't get my wish for Greasy Jungle, it's real greasy alright, and that's how it keeps eluding me I think. They did the jam during Meridian again, and I thought perhaps I heard a small snippet of I'm A Werewolf Baby worked into the jam (Gord kept pretending his towel was a tail all night, so maybe). I will try to figure out the setlist as best I can later, but right now I have to go bbq for my gf's birthday, til then, cheers.

So if this set was the same as London except for Love Is A First, that means the setlist looked like this:

1. New Orleans Is Sinking
2. The Depression Suite
3. Poets
4. Ahead By A Century
5. Fireworks
6. Morning Moon
7. Courage
8. Coffee Girl*
9. Wheat Kings*
10. Scared*
11. At The Hundredth Meridian
12. Springtime In Vienna
13. The Last Recluse
14. In View
15. Bobcaygeon
16. Family Band
17. My Music At Work
18. Blow At High Dough

19. Grace, Too

I don't know how I forgot, but Gord came right down off the stage a couple times, got practically in the crowd, and rocked out (I think someone tried to steal his guitar too and he just laughed). During a good portion of Blow at High Dough, he was singing directly in front of me, which made ditching my alcholic friends to go up front all the more worth my while. I really fucking hope they make it to Sudbury, because I swear to god, they somehow enjoy playing our smelly old barn downtown, and always seem to spoil us with really nice setlists.

A bit of a late post here ....

I know the NB setlist was similar to London but they played Giftshop in the Bay. The band seemed 'something on' Saturday evening. I think they enjoyed themselves inspite of the rain. Almost as though they played harder in the wet. The wind blew in from Lake Nippissing into the face of the stage and Robbie's hair was grooving. The rain came down in spurts but not enough for anyone to leave.

The viewing was decent from pretty much anywhere. I didn't see too many absolute drunks like other outdoor shows. I was impressed with the overall event. Everyone pretty much dancing around enjoying themselves.

I can't recall which song but somewhere near the beginning Gord made mention to Mossone. Something about living in the north.

Oh yeah they opened with New Orleans. And I'm glad I was in the beer line when they played Fireworks.
