Hey Chris,
Have fun at the shows! I would love to join you.
My wife and I had the option of taking in some Hip shows during our vacation time last week...our going south and lying in the sun in the Bahama's...my wife decided on the sun over the Hip (yes, she has veto power).
If the Europe tour had been in the spring or summer it would have happened for us. Hopefully next time.
I really am in Hip withdrawl after reading the reviews and seeing the videoes.
Chris, did you bring the Flip camera? I would love to see some videos!
Did you bring along your newest little Hip fan on this trip?
Cheers.

alright, back in Canada...My thoughts on htis show as I have a had a few days to digest.
It was truly phenomenal in all aspects.
I mentioend earlier I brought a friend / employess who now lives in London but grew up in Italy. He sees many live music shows in London as talks about seeing Italian faves in near empty London venues...to sum up his feelings, he was blown away. He was mesmorised by GD in the first half of the show and just thought the guys was from another planet. It was interesting to see a first timer's perspective and I just kept chuckling to myself in the yep, enjoy it moment.
Depression Suite is just unreal and I really dig it live...and coming in right after NOIS is pretty nice. The fact that they played GEMS was also great for myself - i have seen them in the 25 times neighbourhood and I believe this is my first time hearing this.
The crowd and vibe was pretty incredible and bringing out Kelly Jones was very cool for Fiddlers - everyone was just kinda stunned at this and the electiricity for the remainder of the show was awesome - a few folks even riding on their partners shoulders and you can tell the band was just enjoying themselves...
...it would have been nice to see them in Manchester...
I am sure they could have played another night or 2 in London and it would have been equally as full...I mean, for a monday noght, it was just amazing!
looking forward to the next show and Cheers for now!

The show was epic, and I somehow inexplicably aquired Gordon Downie's Microphone. I'm still not entirely sure quite how that one happened, all I know was he was crawling along the front of the stage acting like it was stuck in his chest.... so I grabbed the lead and yanked it out. Next thing I know I'm stood with this mic thinking "How the fu...."
