Drove from Pittsburgh for the show & even though it was a "greatest hits" show, it was still amazing! The venue was very cool, I'd definitely want to see them play here again. The fireworks over the harbor were just the "cherry on top" as you would say.
GD called them breakaway fireworks. I would like to think they were UFO's dropping in to see the boys. Were they actually half a dozen Chinese lanterns or Leonid meteors?
i'll throw in my two cents. afterall the negative reactions to previous shows my expectations weren't too high. I wasnt thrilled about the venue and feared crazy beer prices like other shows. But the venue was real cool. great view and a place i will go back just for the atmosphere. The beer prices were a shock! but for once it was a good shock. i can handle 3 bucks a beer. The beer flowed steady and i didnt have to worry about having the electric turned off for not paying my bill {due to paying crazy prices for beer all night}. I had a fear Gord was still in "solo mode" with the hat and glasses but we all are getting a little older. {i'm Gord's age}. Great show....great show. It had me playing the Hip like crazy again the days that followed the show. Cant wait for the next chapter in "The History of The Hip." Its been a hell of a ride this last 20 plus years. the great thing is i dont see it ending anytime soon.
