I think with some good detective work we might be able to put some sort of general setlist together...

That looks like Johnny's copy.

And I guess the name of the song might be 'Drip Drip Drip' and not 'Drip Drip';
I only clarify for Last.fm tagging purposes :p

Actually it's probably Rob Baker's copy. I think those numbers are delay times not bpm. He has delay next to a couple of songs. Although loop is next to ABAC which could refer to Johnny looping the percussion stuff.

Tragically Hip in Dawson Creek, I didn't quite know what to expect, as the few shows I have seen at the EnCana Centre have been quite interesting, from not so great sound and bad crowd control/management. All in all though the performance end of it was excellent and no sound issues at all.
The Trews opened and Gord Sinclair came out and did a couple tunes with them half way through the set, which was well received.
Hip took the stage and right from the firsts blasts of Rink you could feel some tension, by the time they got 3/4 into Grace there was some fights breaking out kind of in the middle of the floor ticket area. Gord actually called it out over the crowd and started going off about the fight..kinda crazy/ranting Gordie that I haven't seen in a long while. I specifically remember "this is bullshit man! We aren't here to act like that, we need to respect each other"..went off for a good couple minutes, called the security out too for not taking care of it quicker. Then he used it to basically segue into a bit more of a rant into Love Is A First, seemed fitting I thought!
He did apologize a few songs later saying "sorry I lost my shit earlier, but when I see stuff like that it disgusts me, were all here as music lovers, not fighters"
Rest of the show went off without a hitch, minus the crowd surfing, which security wasn't fond of at all. We were in the seating basically 2nd row to the right hand stage side and watched at least a dozen or more people get hauled off the crowd straight down into the concrete and dragged out and back around..where they proceeded to do it again..crazies.
New Orleans into Nautical was one of the highlights of the night and the new stuff is sounding great live. Only got Streets and Drip, but both I thought were great.
So minus the same kind of shenanigans I have seen at this venue in the past, the experience was pretty good.
Also, took a friend for her first Hip show as I have made her a new fan and she couldn't believe how much energy they put out performing, thought it was amazing. I think all of our first times were though. lol.

Funny to see a picture of my set list here from the Dawson Show.
Someone must have taken it off the Hip FB page.

I was front row center at both the Dawson Creek and Edmonton shows in July.
Since when did the Hip become a mosh pit crowd surfing band?

By the second song in at the Dawson Creek show Gord had stopped singing and was trying to get securities attention to a fist fight that had started. And then another fight started. Gord was quite angry and made many comments about how people were acting. I was seriously concerned he was going to shut the whole concert down. You could see his concern throughout the evening. Talking with security this always happens in Dawson Creek. Good to know. Not that the guys will even go back to Dawson.

It was a great show but the crowd surfing drunken punks were crazy. At least 30 people were removed, and none to kindly by security.

Edmonton was exactly the same. minus the fights happening in the crowd. I was black and blue by the end of it all. The push of the crowd in Edmonton was crazy. People were asking security to be pulled from the crowd. I have never experienced anything like that before.

That being said. Both were fantastic shows. Nothing quiite like seeing the boys live!
And I have a new appreciation of Mr. Sinclair. I stood in front of him at the Edmonton show....... ya pretty sweet.
Can't wait to hear the new album!

Stay Hip!
