Whats good to do in Hamilton? Making a trip up from Buffalo for this one... any good bars? Cigar shops?

It's an outdoor festival show, so very likely a bunch of songs from the new album with the following songs mixed in:

Grace
Courage
Poets
NOIS
Bobc
Gift
ABAC
Blow
Meridian
In View
LIAF
Wheat
Bones

Just a wild stab in the dark.

Lol what a tease this was initially. Yes this would be a sick set! We have similar taste in fantasy setlists lol

Good grief. Save for the new songs, it's pretty much identical to the set they've been playing for over a year now. Please music gods-- for the love of all things good and pure, tell me they're not gonna play this generic boring-ass setlist for the entire NFPA tour. I love this band, and the new album is amazing. But as a fan it's been really disappointing to see them playing it so safe every night. These guys need to get a little more adventurous with their setlist decisions, or I'm not spending my money on tickets anymore.

Thankfully there's still a full month before they start the U.S. tour. These guys better get their arses to their rehearsal space, pick out some songs from the back catalogue and f'n practice them. Please. Just do it for me, will ya boys?

Certainly could've predicted the Hamilton setlist. GD and PL both have said in interviews in the past few months that the band has not had much time together (ie rehearsal). Hopefully they change things up for the NFPA tour. I have been thinking about roadtripping to Cleveland and/or Chicago but no way in hell do I want to see the same show with this setlist. Fingers are crossed that the band intends on dipping back into the catalog. I would never have imagined the Hip would be the kind of band who would simply play the same dozen songs over and over for two straight years..... wow. This might be where I jump off and remember all the awesome shows from pre 2011 tours. I'm sure the Hamilton show was terrific and most people had an awesome time but.....it's time to get back to being what The Hip are so great at.....Unpredictibility. :nooooo

i'm not sure what is more lame... the fact that they only played 19 songs, or the fact that this is almost identical to every set they have played in the last 12 - 24 months.

if this keeps up, i will be skipping yet another tour

I enjoyed the show, but thought the sound was terrible.

I can understand muddy sound in an indoor venue, but outdoors?

How were the floor seats? Did beverages get cut off at 9:00 (as they did in the stands?)

I would like to see more off the new release with a few "gems" thrown in. Hopefully in a few weeks the list will change but not feeling so confident. History does show that things get mixed up a bit on the tours (opposed to festival - stadium shows).

Happy Sunday...

I live in Winnipeg and have tickets for the Fargo show. If this setlist sticks all tour I will strongly consider skipping the Winnipeg show when the eventually come to Canada (especially if it's at the Arena and especially if tickets are $80+ as they have been the past few tours). Take note of this Hip, this is coming from someone that has been seeing your shows and buying your albums on the release date since I was 13 yrs old in 1996.
