It's there, just zero tickets available.

Cool... I was worried... The Mobil app must not list it if there is zero tickets

Another early night at the casino. We were done at 8:45. But, they really put it out there. Robbie was really into it the whole night. I've never seen him so animated during Grace too.

We got About this Map. That was a nice treat. Also On the Verge. Other than that, the setlist was pretty similar to Syracuse. Except for Wheat Kings. And as has been the case lately, Paul got a huge cheer. At the end Gord said he was taking all of the appreciation.

Nice that in all three shows Gord thanked Billy Ray. This week is his 20 year anniversary with the band.

Noticed that tonight and last night they skipped Johnny's drum solo in Streets Ahead. That's the best part of the song!

Now, to get that smoke smell out of my hair. I'm so not used to smoking in buildings anymore.

Amen...could not hang out after as the smoke was dense. Too bad with the early finish could have been fun. Band sounded great. Paul's vocals were spot on. Band seemed full of energy. Early show...last one for short bit. Good stuff!

Had a greatest hits feel to it just a tad but that was fine.

Had nice run of shows (Triggs Winery, Rochester, and here). Hopefully a few more in 2013. :thumb:

After the show I saw a fan with Paul's setlist. It said the encore was to begin with 50 Mission Cap, but it was skipped. :(
I enjoyed meeting Dana (TTH) and watching the show with him. :) More later...

19 songs...full show on the WC tour (ones I saw). The shows at this venue are shorter. Wonder why? Thought it was the curfew but today's show started early.

It felt shorter but lost track as it went on. Again early show (plus I did not expect to score a ticket) on a Sat. and the band sounded great. All good...

This was a sold out show in the casino "event room". It is a huge room with a flat floor. Regular restaurant style chairs were connected together in long rows, separated into 3 sections. Many fans in the front appeared to be casino high rollers and "comps". They were older and just watched the show from their seats or stood politely, but appeared unfamiliar with the music. The majority of the fans sang along with Gord to all of their most popular hits. I would say the setlist was geared towards the casual fan.

Gord D was great to watch. He was very animated, speaking to the crowd in between songs, dancing, ranting and doing imitations. During Grace, too, he fluttered his hankie behind him like a tail and said, "I'm an Allegany whitetail." Gord is quite adept at battering/kicking around his mike stand. He "dribbles" the stand like it was a soccer ball. It goes back and forth and then it almost hits the floor and he pulls it back upright, never touching it with his hands...all foot work. As Thompson Girl stated, Gord gave a somewhat heartfelt shout out to Billy Ray for his 20 years of dedication to touring and participating with the band. Also, as Mookytc mentioned, it was a shorter show than the rest of the tour. I guess the casino wants that large group of people on the gaming floor and not in the event room.

The highlights from this show for me were About This Map, On the Verge and We Want It To Be. About This Map because it is my wife's favorite song and I believe this was its first appearance in a concert. On the Verge was awesome because I have rarely heard it. At the end of Verge they sped up the song double or triple time. We Want It To Be is consistently one of the best songs the band has performed for the 3 shows I have seen on this tour. It would be great if I could hear Take Forever at my hometown show in Detroit. (That's my favorite from this CD). It was nice to put a face with a Hipbase screen name. I consider Dana (TTH) one of the prolific posters on our board (along with a few others great ones). Dana sat with my wife and I and we reveled in the band's awesomeness.

Now for the five hour drive home. Always the worst part of a "Hip trip", but I enjoy reliving my experiences in my mind.

Hugh, your reviews are terrific. I am too looking forward to seeing the tour when it hits Detroit. I'm hoping for Modern Spirit or Lookahead...but anything from the new cd is fine. If I could dream little, my Detroit Filmore wishlist would be Emperor Penquin, 38 Years Old or Pigeon Camera....none of which have been trotted out yet this tour :)

I don't even know if I can post these - I had quite the view the entire night. Someone needs to tell Gord he needs to wear looser pants. lol!
