I can't WAIT!! This will be my eighth time seeing them, and so pumped to see the new tunes live. Really hoping for 50 Mission Cap, Escape Is At Hand..., and Pigeon Camera would be amazing.
Going to spend a pile on merch as well. Hoping they'll be selling the Bobcaygeon DVD's at the show, and maybe a jersey?

So are we getting the 4th 'Thompson Girl' of the tour tonight or will it be in Brandon? Or not at all?

Have fun Peggers!

GREAT Show. Fans were lively and the band of course was hitting on all cylinders. New tunes sound great live, especially Streets Ahead which is a lot better live than on CD. Gord did forget the words to a verse, I think it was 50 Mission but could be mistaken, but Paul helped him out it was quite funny as Gord pointed at Paul and acknowledged it.

When Wheat Kings began with Paul's piece it looked like a bra was thrown on stage at him, he was trying hard not to crack up. It was almost he was trying to say 'those are usually thrown at Gord.

Good to hear Gus, Thompson Girl and escape again.

Really great show.

17 repeats from Fargo if I counted correctly. I was hoping the band would have acknowledged how many Winnipegers were at that show and switched it up a bit more. Hopefully Brandon gets some more variety. Dying to see Gems, Thugs, Lionized, An Inch An Hour and Locked.

Great show...except for the losers who yelled at me to sit down. Screw you guys. Screw my whole section! Who barely moved or clapped or sang a single word. Made me feel like the world's lamest fan. If you wanna pay exorbitant prices for entertainment and sit down, go see a movie.

That said, I must have been in one of the only 2 or 3 sucky sections in the whole rink. Lots of people standing up and dancing and everything. Seems I got bad luck. Really beautiful to see....a stark difference from the 2009 Winnipeg shows where everyone sat on their tushes unless you were on the floor. Also, the crowd was receptive to the Arkells, who included a job-well-done appearance of Neil Young's Ohio.

Why do people complain about setlists again? Gus, Thompson Girl, Escape, Lonely End of the Rink. Yeah. If I were to critique the sets at all, I'd only have to say I'm disappointed in lack of new material. 4-5 tracks a night from a new album of 11 is too bad...would've loved to hear Modern Spirit or About This Map or Take Forever.

As a final note...the tour poster is suuuuuper kickass. Not cheap, but so much win it is worth it.

Yeah, at the start of the concert I was beginning to think that the only difference between Fargo show and Winnipeg show was Gord S' shirt...

The vocal performance on Thompson Girls was purely my highlight of the night!

I agree with the lack of the new record. 5-7 songs a night from it would be ideal.

As for the complaints about the setlist, I'm not one of the fans that hates the hits. I like Grace, Too, Ahead By A Century, Giftshop, I even like Courage and Fifty Mission Cap. I just wish they'd rotate Poets, Blow, New Orleans, Music at Work, Bobcaygeon and Wheat Kings in and out a little more. It feels like we rarely get Locked, and never get On The Verge or an Inch An Hour in Winnipeg. Anyways, I just feel like the set was too similar to the one at the Goldeyes park in 2011 and way too similar to Fargo.

Agreed, it really is nice and was designed by Mike DeAngelis of the Arkells. I carried it around with me in a poster tube I brought for the first 4 shows of the Canadaian leg of the tour trying to get it signed but no luck. :(

one thing i thought was really interesting is Rob played his PRS during Love is a first last night. looks like he's retired his chrome guitar
