Well I didn't think I was going to make it tonight. With the weather pummeling us, I planned to leave at 3pm, and then spent 1 hour (trying with 2 cars) to get out of the driveway...I couldn't get past my next door neighbour's house before having to turn around both times.

Thankfully, my buddy has a 4 wheel drive car, and he drove from Kitchener to Burlington to pick me up, then all the way to Guelph, and he just dropped me off back home before turning around to head home to Waterloo. What a night!

Great show, and nice to see Vic, Chris & Sarah again!

Looking forward to Thursday at the ACC!

Wow, that show was fantastic. I thought it was way better than the Kitchener show.

I mean, c'mon, Gus, Flamenco, Eldorado, Escape and Nautical? I loved the whole show, and the guys seemed to be having a fun and relaxed time. What did Gord call us? "Weather drivers" or "weather lovers"?

Despite the weather, it was a great show! Nice to see the "regulars" again! Hahah

Now, on to Oshawa on hopefully well plowed roads!

Setlist had no real surprises.

Older gems were Greasy and Eldorado.

Setlist looked something like this:

At Trans
NOIS
Grace
Gus
Escape
Giftshop
Greasy
Streets Ahead
Eldorado
Man Machine Poem
Flamenco
In View
ABAC
The Lookahead
Poets
Drip
Goodnight Atta

Blow
100th
Bob
Courage
Nautical

Shite, my brain isn't working right now. I know that's not the order and I'm missing some songs but you get the gist.
Closed with Nautical which is just always fantastic in my opinion.

Got some pics - will process tomorrow (hopefully) and post.

Highlight was definitely Gord eating fake bugs (or some other treats) off of Chris's head.

My audio recording from the Guelph show has been upped to Dime: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=438790

Typical audience recording quality. Hopefully one of the more prolific tapers who had their gear set up will share too.

This show almost didn't happen for me due to the snow storm that hit S. Ontario on Friday. I couldn't get out of my driveway, let alone drive to Guelph. Big thanks to my buddy for driving 80km through it to pick me up, another 80km to the show, and then taking me back home afterwards.

Great time.
Set list a tad too greatest hits-y but that's probably me quibbling.

Great show. I've heard the complaints about drunk idiots in the past but I always figured you were all just crusty old curmudgeons. Well, the hammered 4-some beside us would have been tolerable had it not been for the one guy who started puking in his seat.

I'm all for being drunk at a concert - but puking? How is that even possible? I couldn't have gotten a beer there if my life depended on it! Those lineups were INSANE.

All in all a great night though. Driving was a piece of cake!

While I was lined up to get into the show, there was a group of a few guys downing a mickey of alcohol while in line. The mall security approached them and mentioned they better finish it before they hit the venue security because they're patting down.

Friday night in Guelph....gotta love it.
