Anyone know curtain time for tomorrow's show, tickets say 8:00 but does that mean doors at 7, Brendan Canning 7:30 and Hip at their traditional ~9? Or Hip at 8?

The email I got from TM on June 26 regarding traffic and parking says -

Pre Party Doors open: 5pm
Doors: 6:30pm
The Tragically Hip: 8:30pm

Thanks for asking, I wouldn't have looked and assumed they'd be on at 9.

Have fun everyone!
Nothing says Canada Day like The Hip!

I've been fortunate enough to celebrate Canada with the Hip three times in Charlottetown, and once in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Hope the weather holds, and that you get a gem or two! (Vapour Trails ftw)

Wish they would have brought another band in for this DATE - it's Canada Day and I'm over buddy spinning a couple vinyl tunes before - seriously this summer brings some heavy festivals with multiple bands......

anyways for those who didn't see - I'll be streaming much of the show

I will be at the show and "Streaming it Live" assuming LTE is good the entire show can be seen on your iphone, ipad or android devices on the app "Periscope"

Seats are Section 202 Row A - this is the 2nd section - centre - slightly elevated above the 100's - we have a rail seat so all should be good

My handle on periscope is @concertaholics
The link for the show will be tweeted out as well on twitter @concertaholics and on facebook here https://www.facebook.com/concertaholics

So if you're stuck at home or at a bad party then tune in
....and for the techies who may have "Apple TV - Airplay" you can throw to your TV's as well

Happy Canada Day!

Grace

ABAC
NOIS

Fully

At Transformation
Longtime Running
Poets
Bobcaygeon
Bones

Good show, some lyrical mess ups but it happens at every show nowadays. Bones really rocked and the crowd enjoyed it, unfortunately it was the final song of the night. Songs that stood out for me: Grace, Looking for a place to happen, Fully, 50mc, Wheat Kings, Bones. Bobcaygeon was kinda disappointing with Gord yelling his way through it sort of, it happened on a few others as well. Otherwise a generally good show.

Show was fun! Not the 1st row seats like 2 nights before, but a great time nevertheless.

We were in Row P in 206 and almost everyone in our row had back-stage/all-access passes as did some in the row in front of us and behind us. Some of them were young teenagers who left their row 2 songs in to go on to the stage. Anybody know who these people were? Related to the band I assume? They were friendly. By the encore none of them were left and it allowed seat surfers from the lawn to come down and scoop up all the empty seats. What's everyone's philosophy on seat surfers by the way? I think I'm OK with it. As long as they're not in my seat. Speaking of all access passes. Does anyone have tips on how I might ever get my hands on one so I could cross it off my bucket list?

I loved the show. I've seen them 34 times now, and would say that it was top 5 for me. Little Bones was my favorite. They took it to a new level. The crowd was great.

So, what did Gordie mean when he said, "It's not about being Canadian, it's about being understood."
