Re: 2016-08-18 - Ottawa Ontario
We are in Floor B, row 20. The email from Capital Tickets says that we need the CC that made the purchase and matching photo ID. We are staying at Les Suites downtown. Hoping to hear Emperor Penguin. Can't wait.
Friday we are going to the National Gallery and on a boat tour of the canal.
Then, up early on Sat to get back home for the Kingston stream. I hope the CBC servers will be able to keep up! As US fans, we really appreciate that the CBC is streaming it globally.
Have fun all.

Sloan is playing outside at city hall Friday night - easy walk from anywhere downtown or Byward Market.

National Gallery is impressive and Canal ride will be nice.

If anyone is interested in shooting some 360 video of this show, please shoot me an email at [email protected] with your seat location and we can try to make it happen.
http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/gear-360/
It is a simple handheld camera that you will be "freestyling" with no viewfinder (unless you have a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S7)
No editing, uploading, etc required on your part - just hold the camera for whatever song(s) you like and I will take care of the rest.
These are special shows and I trust you will be pleased you took me up on this.
Selfishly I also wish to tweak the camera each show to find the optimal setting for Kingston ... and Ottawa is my last chance!
Edit: Here are two 360 videos from Hamilton:
Show Opener 100th in 360: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpUjGWn1CXc
Clip of Fireworks in 360: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxWAbKYtWaQ
There are two settings (ISO and sharpness) I would like to tweak and road test for tonights show if the opportunity presents itself.

We are at the Westin downtown, Sean, and heading to the show with our two boys. Where do you suggest we get on the bus/shuttle? How long will it take? Thanks in advancesean.bonner wrote:The OC Transpo shuttles will take you from downtown to the CTC, free of charge with a ticket.
(Even if you don't have a ticket in hand, these shuttle buses usually just let anyone on free of charge going to the CTC)

I would say at Rideau is where I would get it. It takes about 25-30 minutes from downtown.GordsGal wrote:We are at the Westin downtown, Sean, and heading to the show with our two boys. I would only take this option if you have tickets in hand.
Based on what I heard from the other shows, will call was a nightmare of a line, and the buses would only start running around 6:30 to the show I would say.
The buses are 1000% the fastest option for leaving too. Dedicated bus lanes means you get to bypass all of the car traffic.

Yes - tickets in hand. Already stopped by OC Transpo at Rideau Centre & found out exactly where to grab the bus.
Looking forward to the show - it's our boys' first

The will call and lottery line is all combined with people buying new tickets. Looks like about a 2 hour wait now. Only like 2 windows open as of 2pm

Yeah, it was a cluster f**k -- reminded me of all the reasons why I hate that rink. Seemed to be a big surprise people showed up at lunch to pick up tickets, mixed in with people trying to buy. That said, I got through in about 30-40 minutes and maybe the afternoon pick up alleviate the evening pick up. If you have the option of printing tickets, do it.Moosehead wrote:The will call and lottery line is all combined with people buying new tickets. Looks like about a 2 hour wait now. You'll still have to get through the ridiculous security the rink always has in place, empty your pockets and if you're lucky get a bit of a feel up.

Re: 2016-08-18 - Ottawa Ontario
They seemed to speed it up a bit now with 4 windows open. They've already transferred ticketing over to Ticketmaster as of July, but anything sold before that (like, most of the ones for this show) are under the old system. If this was ticketmaster it would probably have been redit card entry for most of them instead.)

So where do we go for credit card entry? Front gate or a ticket window?

As far as I know there is no credit card entry here. You have to line up at the box office to get tickets. (If you got an email saying there is credit card entry for your ticket then I'm wrong.)SRK wrote:So where do we go for credit card entry? Front gate or a ticket window?

And if you did get a credit card entry ticket, just go in with everybody else through the turnstilles. They would/will scan your card and issue a little receipt thing with the seat numbers on it.

I'm not sure who's in the house tonight, but I sure hope you have a good time. I will.
Section 105. Saw a hipbase T-shirt walk by about 20 minutes ago. There's at least one of you here.
