after seeing the setlists i decided i can't miss this show. any one have an extra ticket?
i will support stubhub if need be but thought i should ask here first
long time hip fan here. 50+ shows...ya i'm old but i got grace too

but like i read in another thread, posted by someone else...after this tour i will have regrets if i didn't go...
money is not everything....i'll just have to cut back on the steak and shrimp for 6months!

So STOKED for this gig! Knew we had to go when we heard the news ... first time seeing The Hip in Ontario - should be fun! Out east we get smaller shows, which has been grest, but I'm looking forward to the energy and crowd at this larger celebration! It'll be the biggest Hip show I've seen ...

And as if catching the show weren't enough: Aug 18th is my birthday! Good way to celebrate my life with The Hip!

I've been waiting for this day not to come since May.

Looks like it'll be about 5-6 songs per show, with 20 minute breaks to allow for the next group to be seated. I'm pretty excited: love small venue shows.

Hi all - we have a small crew heading up for the show. We are staying in Ottawa - looking for a good way to get to and from the show... Also, is there a place that Hip fans will be hanging out before the show?

The arena is out in the middle of nowhere because of 1990s thinking so there aren't really any places in walking distance. Just office buildings and car dealerships. If you are staying downtown (or really anywhere near transit), there are special buses that go right there. See http://www.octranspo.com/ottawa-destina ... ire_centre - probably crowded with drunks.

Otherwise, taxi or Uber.
