I love Toronto shows! All I have to do is hop on a subway and I'm home in 25 mins tops! :P Don't forget there's an afternoon baseball game on Sunday, so some of the lots may already be full. As opposed to Wed/Fri, when Hip-goers would have got to the lots before the Jays game folks.

I would be filming the shows with two samsung gear 360 cameras. They are brand new and take incredible immersive HD photo/video:

But don't just take the manufacturers word for it, here is a snip from a Sloan concert I shot in June:

^ Make sure you watch in HD

Also: If you or anyone you know with amazing tickets wants to film any ontario shows using this cam, let me know.

Wow. That is VERY cool.

flatiron ?

street address perhaps ?
2 Church St. This is where I always park now. Right behind St. Lawrence Market. Really easy to get in and out of last night. The Jays finishing about 45 minutes before The Hip certainly helped though.

Because the first assignment of my day actually took place last Saturday (whoops) I've been doing some math while waiting for the rest of the day to fall in.

Just nine of the songs played last night were repeats from Night One. So 82% of the set was different between Nights 1 and 2. I didn't crunch numbers for Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton, but I'd say that's pretty par for the course.

Compare that to the last multi-night stretch in Toronto (not including the Plan A pop ups) which was 2009 at Massey. Through two nights, 39 of the 49 songs were different. That means we're seeing slightly better variety on this tour - in a very small sample - than we did on the last Evening With run.

That Massey run had 55 different songs played over four nights; 50 of those came in Nights 1-3. It is entirely possible we'll match that with tomorrow's show, and honestly, while unlikely, it's not out of the realm of possibility we could match the 55 number.

55 is also the number of different songs played during the four night residency at The Phoenix for the World Container release. Something I either didn't realize (or forgot because it was 10 YEARS AGO) was that only two non-WC songs were repeated in that entire run: Bobcaygeon and Blow At High Dough. Stupid me living in Thunder Bay at the time and being a broke-as-hell MA student. Almost as impressive as the no-repeat back-to-back Fort York shows earlier that year.

Anyway, enough hijacking of the review thread. I agree with Sherpa (whether he wrote it here or in the Facebook group): Nights 1 and 2 on this run are two of the best Hip shows I've ever been to. Bring on Night 3.

banner above the ACC doors entering from Union Plaza: "Those Nights in Toronto ..." I thought that was pretty cool; may have been mentioned elsewhere

What kind of food do you like? Are you wanting to keep it to a close proximity to the venue or willing to venture a couple blocks north to King or Queen st? There are so many options nearby.

Suggestions for where I could find a decently priced decent single?

3 hour drive ahead of me once I can secure it!

Fingers crossed for the lottery in two hours.

The show was very prompt on Friday night. They announced over the speaker system at 8:25pm that the show would start in 5 mins. i believe 7 mins later the first note of Courage was played.

What is the house music right before the show starts? I know that's vague. But I dig this song and have no idea what it is
