Sault Ste Marie Recordings

I guess it's good form with Hip fans to wait a few weeks for requesting bootlegs, so I won't stray very far. I recorded the show from the Soo and so did Hairbird. I saw at least one video camera going, I just wonder how many recordings there are out there? Are there hoarders out there like with the Metallica circles (that's where I trade mostly). Sorry if I strayed out of the lines. 8)

Well I video taped it and will put it on the tracker once its been authored. This could take up six months (atleast) due to our huge backlog of shows to be authored to DVD.

Duane - we have a great community of tapers/traders, however there are only a few of us who do the DVD authoring.

All shows that are available in the community end up on our Bit Torrent site: www.thehiptracker.com

I maintain the site, but there are a load of people behind the scenes that keep it alive.

And markslog is correct; I have a crapload of other shows to edit/author before I get to the Soo show... however if it is only one angle, it might be out sooner than some of the more involved DVDs.

For reference I suggest you download the Utrecht DVD from last summer.

And here's are a couple of previews on YouTube:

Anyone interested in torrenting my Soo recording? I'll send the recordings to someone who can stick it on the tracker.

And if you don't trust Chris (which is entirely believable  ), I'll be able to do it if you want.

But Chris can do it better, so go with him first.

i know this is unrelated to this topic...
but if the London show (feb 5, 2007) is circulating somewhere out there...it would be great if it could get uploaded to the tracker.

thanks

Excellent! Maybe a new recording will wake this place up for a bit.
Thanks Chris, love adding new shows to my harddrive/bootleg library.
Thanks for keeping The Tracker and the archive going for all these years! Don't know what I'd do without those sites, and I'm sure I'm not alone in these sentiments.

Also, I was just listening to Lewiston 2007-06-30. Its great now that the passing of time has made the World Container tour unique and classic!

Here's the Soo setlist for those interested:

1. The Lonely End Of The Rink
2. New Orleans Is Sinking
3. Grace, Too
4. It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken
5. The Drop-Off
6. Ahead By A Century
7. Fly
8. Poets
9. Boots Or Hearts
10. World Container
11. Springtime In Vienna
12. At The Hundredth Meridian
13. Sherpa
14. In View
15. Gift Shop
16. Wheat Kings
17. Yer Not The Ocean
18. My Music At Work
19. Blow At High Dough

20. Family Band
21. Six Days On The Road
22. Little Bones

Looks like a great one!

This one's only for the completists... As the audio isn't great. It's clipped and a bit gnarly at points. It's nice to have something but if you're downloading shows to get as close to soundboard as possible, this one's not for you. I'll post an MP3 sample shortly.
