Hi,
Am getting married in a couple of days and am looking for a very high quality version of Flamenco featuring Kate Fenner that I could use as my first dance. If anyone could help, please send me an email to
hendrik_mcdermott@hotmail.com
I've only got 3 days to go and all the versions I have aren't high quality enough to play on a large stereo system in a wedding hall.
Any help is much appreciated!

Wish I could help, never have come across a high-quality version of this though.

You're only going to find audience recordings of that song... so even the best may not be up to your standard.
The best you're likely to find is from 2000-12-06 - Kanata, ON. You can find this show on the Hipfans.com Live Music Archive.
And listening to it just now, Gord says, "You don't need to be in the Vondelpark to hear this. But it helps." Now I want to go back to Amsterdam and listen to this song in the park!

Thanks for your help... MUCH appreciated though it seems the quality just may not ever get up to speed.
Are there any live versions at all that are top quality? I'v got the one from the "Live 10" sets from ITunes, and a few others from my bootleg colection from the late 80s and early 90s, but if anyone knew of a killer live version of the song, would really boost my upcomign wedding.
PS - just sent an email to the hip at their email address asking if they had a version I could use!

Kate Fenner only performed with them during the 2000 tour so your choices of shows/recordings are limited.
And what does "Top Quality" mean? What is your standard? The version I suggested is a top quality live recording in my opinion. Are you looking for a soundboard, studio quality version? If so, I'd say stop your search as you're wasting your time.

Well, yeah, was looking for a sounbard quality... Incidentally, after emailing the hip at their web page I got this response.
If there was ever any doubt about how awesome the hip are (including the poelpe who work for the hip) I think that can all be wiped away.
"I probably have one, but I am away for the holidays and can't get one in five days. Sorry."
