You need to become a member of "www.sharingthegroove.org" to gain access to the boards.

I've attached the file you need to download in order to participate in the BitTorrent download. It is basically a mass sharing of music and DVD's via the internet. The original user acts as a seed and shares the files with others. Once they have them downloaded, they share them with other users. This continues and as more and more people complete the download, and LEAVE THEIR WINDOW OPEN TO SHARE THE GROOVE, the speeds pick up, and the shows get distributed.

You have to have special BitTorrent software, which is free, in order to participate.

For Mac's, this program is pretty good.

Perhaps Lance, or other STG members can recommend a good client for PC's?

Shadow's Experimental is the best Bit Torrent program for PCs...it's practically the standard one. I don't know where the link is, but search for it in Google and you'll have no trouble finding it.

The FAQ on www.sharingthegroove.org will certainly have the link, as well as links to alternate clients.

Shannon et al.,
I haven't seeded this show completely yet. Rogers Cable wrote me 5 emails, and called me about my excessive use of bandwidth so I have had to cut back. This is still being seeded and as long as everyone stays patient, and keeps their window open, everyone will be enjoying this show by weeks end.

quick question.... what does it mean when a piece fails hash check? I've never seen it before...

thanks.. :thumb:

There is a check built into Bit Torrent downloads, much like MD5's for SHN's. The piece that you downloaded was checked and found to be incomplete/fractured/wrong/etc vs. the info hash file.

Your software should automatically re-download that piece again.
