I saw that a few people liked the act and the recording turned out ok, so here it is for you.

If anyone could open up a slot on the soundpros recording of the hips performance that would be great.

I removed this torrent, as we have not received permission from The Weakerthans to record/distribute their shows.

Check out this thread: http://www.hipbase.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5549

As mentioned, I emailed the band a couple of weeks back, and have not received any response. If anyone is in contact with them, and is willing/able to ask their permission, please let me know.

Thanks!

Just emailed Jason Tait Weakerthans drummer... and asked about posting the show.

we're fine with posting the live show(can you send us a link to it
when it goes up?). That's totally cool with us.

Take care,
JT

hope that clears it up.

Is anyone putting together a dvd of the weakerthans performance? and word on when the HDRC or hip new years dvds will be ready?

Thank you for that information. Could you please have him email me chris at hipfans dot com, or send me his email address so that I can confirm it. Although I believe you, it's my butt on the line if a lawyer comes knocking - and I won't be able to say, "Headstoner posted that it was OK, so I went with it..."

Thanks!

I see why you may be concerned with this kind of stuff Chris, but did anyone ask the CBC if their material could be redistributed? (i.e. Canada for Asia or Full Fledged Vanity?)

Not trying to stir up trouble, but if you're concerned with copyright issues, I think those are two places to start.

Items recorded from TV are OK... good ol' public domain.

Recording a concert in a private venue is a different story.

Did this end up making it on to the tracker? I just started listening to the band and it would be great to see the show. If anyone is willing to do a B&P that would be great!

Well it's just audio, not video. If you still want it, PM me your address and I'll send a copy up to you, along with another Weakerthans show I have (both excellent quality). Great, great band!!!!!
