Thanks for the comments, guys!
I had a good fine with the worms-eye view from the rink (more luck than judgement though.)
For those who missed it on the tracker, here's the hi res version.

Yep, Googles my friend!Corby wrote:Nice one, Zenith! I love the use of the pics from the venue.

Mind you, they aren't no Corby / Zenith creation... but they're something!

i saw the covers on the covers site, but I've grown quite partial to the corby/zenith type, especially since they kinda look like a proper set. Just my own tastes i guess, but ever since pj launched their bootleg program i've really tried collecting covers that look like a set, rather than just a live pic with a setlist superimposed on it....that is not a knock on the work that others have contributed in any way, just my own personal tastes. Thanks to everyone who contributes to the collecting in any way, cause it's all very much appreciated.

u crack me up sean...i'm just spoiled by all the amazing graphic design stuff we've seen as of late, so it's hard to just use the more traditional bootleg covers, even though they grace the majority of my collection....plus, often if i'm going that route, i tend to try and make my own covers using actual photos from that show and any sort of artwork (posters, etc) i can find....plus, the pink font just doesn't do it for me!

I had an idea:
Could somebody possibly create a generic cover (such as a variation of the WC Cover) that fans could download and use for multiple shows? I have a friend whose a big fan of HIM (nobody's perfect), and for his bootleg covers, a generic cover was available, and fans could modify it how the wanted to for their own collection.
I was just thinking perhaps two different ones: One we can use for the club shows, and one we can use for the 2007 Canadian Arena shows.
Anyone want to take this on? Bueller? Bueller?

jgardz, I'll try and do some more when I have more time - Work's been coming along like buses just recently. Yesterday I was twiddling my thumbs, and today I'm snowed under!!
I'd be happy to make a generic cover which could then be altered. I could upload the Photoshop file, and edit it as they see fit.
Could someone do me a huge favour though? Could you scan in the WC container cover/digipack/sleeve at high res (300 dpi) please? My copy's at my parents place, and I don't know when I'll get a chance to get hold of it.
Thanks.

those ideas sound great, and I know that this is how a lot of the recent Nine Inch Nails shows are having their artwork done, 1 guy posted a generic base, as well as a list of pretty much all possible songs in a really cool font, and you make your own from there. My question is this though...what kind of software would I need to edit the generic cover? AND, is it free, or available if u know where to look?

Thats a cool link, Chris.
I could always supply an almost finished image as a JPG/TIFF which would just need the track listings/venue/dates changing and maybe some room to add photos. Provided you had the right fonts that should be easy to do.
Hmmm, well - If I was to create a generic PSD cover, then you'd need Photoshop (Elements would/should do) to open it. There could well be other open source programs (GIMP for example) that could be suitable. You'd obviously need something half decent to create something that would look the part - MS Paint doesn't really cut it.jgardz wrote:what kind of software would I need to edit the generic cover?
