the whammy out of songs was awesome....where can i find your vid on FB?tigerthelion88 wrote:Killer energy - maybe the best all tour --
arkells were sick, i think they said the third time they opend for the hip -- they did a CAnada sing "punch it in" and USA sing "punch it out"
Greatest hits livee - Robby kept fading out songs on guitar with some lasting whammy - sinclair was steady grooving - and Gord was raving
-- lots of interludes and speech
-- once gord tried to move the stage - inacting his mic stand as a paddle "its a big blue canoe, help me"
-- fireworks were an awesome background
-- another highlight - during little bones - gord was prompting baker ... "its just a lil, its just a lillll,, " than rob cruised up and depply sung "its just a lil tired" .. awesome
Enjoy tonights show ..

Phenomenal, rocking show. Gordie was on his game, as well as the rest of the boys. Drip Drip was my favorite out of all the new ones played. The fireworks that went off further down the Lake Erie coast prompted some good ramblings from Gordie.
As a lifelong Buffalonian, I feel like the city put a great foot forward with the presentation of this concert. The location is great... very scenic, and open. You could put down a lawn chair or blanket 100 yards from the stage and have plenty of room around you. I didn't get way up front, but there didn't appear to be any of the "moshing" problems that were had at earlier shows.
Great job Hip! And kudos to Buffalo!

I pulled this from
http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-tragi ... 0a384.html
they had song 4 listed as stay, but my drunkin mind thinks it was Streets ahead, thus I changed it.

2.Grace, Too
3.Love is a First
4.Streets ahead
5.Gift Shop
6.Poets
7.Buffalo rant > Ahead by a Century
8.In View
9.Drip Drip
10.At The Hundredth Meridian
11.Fiddler's Green
12.Transformation
13.Fully Completely
14.Courage
15.Buffalo rant > Bobcaygeon
16.New Orleans Is Sinking > Nautical Disaster > New Orleans Is Sinking
17.Little Bones
Encore:
18.The Lonely End of the Rink
19.Wheat Kings
20.Music at Work

hahaha, that was hilarious! "Watch up here....don't watch over there!"senrab wrote:"it's a breakaway firework! He wants to be out on his own!!!!!!"
Yeah, that was a great show. I love Buffalo shows - the energy is always so high, both from the band and the crowd. I also felt like I was at home. The setting reminded me of Fort York, with the Gardiner Expwy right beside, and the lake nearby too.
Loved hearing Blow to open up. Loved the banter. Loved Rob singing "tired" on Little Bones.
Awesome show to end my 2011 Hip summer tour!
The Arkells were great. The comparison of Hamilton and Buffalo was spot on!

I know I say this after almost every Hip show but last night was one of the best concert experiences I have had. The venue was beautiful the band was on fire and the crowd was the best group of people I have ever seen for a show that big. The people of western New York/Southern Ontario are some of the nicest people in the entire world. Being with thousands fellow Hip fans singing and dancing filled my heart with joy. That show will hold me over for a good six months. Thank you Buffalo for an experience I will never forget.
Viva la Hip!

I couldn't hear a lot of what he was saying in between songs because I was a ways back from the stage and talking with my friends (yes, I'm a bad fan LOL)...towards the beer stands. I did catch the fireworks comments, hehe. Also, nice try Gord, but the fireworks were coming from the Outer Harbor Festival about a mile away on the US side...not Canada.thompson girl wrote:hahaha, that was hilarious!
