Well once again I get to be the bearer of great news... :D The Syracuse show has been posted on bt.etree.org. All Aboard.........

ps. I wish I knew how to post a link to the torrent from here. That would save everyone a bit of time. Also, I remind you I'm not the seeder, nor the taper, just a very happy Hip fan :thumb:

chris, i don't know if you will see this or not, but maybe this is the kind of thing you could seed on your new site. it would be cool to have some SHN/FLAC shows and then a DVD. just a thought.

It'll be a day and a half before I get time at home to download it, so can anybody offer an opinion on the quality? How does it compare to Cleveland?

I finished downloading the show overnight, and when I went to decode the .flac file in Flac FrontEnd, I got the following error code: ***Got error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_SYNC. This happened for the few flac files I tried to decode, and the text files in the folder are blank. Anybody have similar results? Anyone have suggestions for what this means?

If you haven't already, try clicking the "Decode through errors" box in FrontEnd. That might at least give you an accessible decoded file to listen to...just a thought...

Thanks for the advice. I gave it a try, and it came back "error while decoding metadata" and a similar error message to the one mentioned above, but involving end of stream. This sucks... I checked on the bt.etree.org site, and a few others have had similar problems. Perhaps there were problems while encoding the show, and it needs to be re-encoded. As also mentioned above, it is a rather large file for a flac compression (comparing it to other flac encoded shows).

Should I bother downloading it? This is horribly disappointing. I would give most all my worldly posessions to have a recording of this show.... Would it be better to wait it out and see what happens?

It appears to be rectified. The show is no longer a humongous size. I'm d/l it now, but I'm at work so I cant say how it is yet, but there were alot of people going when I was there and the speeds are good!

I will have my window open all day...hop on!

Okay, the show has been seeded for a third time now, as I'm sure everybody was/is still stuck at 99.8%. Let's hope this one works.........

I'm hoping. And stuck. Boo. Does anyone on the board have the whole show and could jump on? I know I'd really appreciate it! :thumb:

"SERENITY NOW".........I'm around 54% right now of the 3rd round of downloading. However there is more than 1 person with a complete copy, so everything is hopefully going to work now.

The problem with the second incarnation, had something to do with 1 .flac file from the second disc. I decoded the first disc to check out the quality. Decent audience recording - not as good as the Cleveland show unfortunately, but ok.

So now I need to dL the whole show for just that one faulty track...oh well

Wait wait wait, so the version I've been downloading since last night is pointless and I need to start over? This show will be the death of me...

I know the 3rd show works, I just have a feeling that I am still downloading the second copy...if that's possible. I'm confused to say the least.
