downloading ftp files.

Im new to this downloading hip boots from the ftp://hip:hip@ftp.thehundredthmeridian.com site, I downloaded Smart FTP client from download.com, I opened the downloads folder from the ftp site, I picked the concert I wanted opened it up and tried to download the song but it takes forever to get, I have a high-speed cable connection, am I doing something wrong? Also I dont have way of opening the .shn files can someone direct me to a program that I can download for that. Any help would be appreciated......

First off, try the search feature, as the topic of playing/converting SHN's has been covered many times. Additionally, there are loads of FAQ's on the internet, such as http://www.u2shn.com/shnfaq.php .
Secondly, the speed of your downloads from thehundredthmeridian.com is limited to what Jerremy's (the site owner) internet connection will allow. As with most high speed home connections, it's approximately 45kbps - that's why it's taking a long time.
